In Transit Media (ITM) was developed by IT professionals who have a passion for developing new hardware and setting a standard for software applications. Over the past 5 years ITM has been working on developing a Digital Information Unit (DIU) that can remotely deliver content to public transportation.In July of 2009 ITM installed trial unit's into buses in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. ITM was able to work with local business's to prove the worth of such a device to the local community.ITM has developed this DIU for the sole purpose of delivering useful community information to patrons that travel on public transport. The advertising component provides the option of promoting local business and events in the local area. Digital Advertising on Buses has proven to be a step in the right direction in a lot of countries.
