Incenta Health --using financial incentives and evidence-based behavioral support to help people quit smoking and live a healthier life. - Incenta Health works with employers and insurance companies to pay people to stop smoking.- In the process of developing a functional software platform and mobile app. The Incenta Health mobile app paired with a carbon mono. For self-insured employers, employees who smoke cost them thousands of dollars more than non-smokers.This massive problem can be solved with Incenta Health, a smartphone app that uses immediate financial incentives and evidence-based behavioral support to help users quit smoking. Smokers looking to quit will download our mobile app and sign up. When a user signs up, the funding for their quit plan will be from their employer who wants to use the platform for their employees. They will then have the option to personalize their quit plan and choose the time frame in which they want to quit. How it works: Through us and the employer's health insurer, the smoker will be given an inexpensive and existing Carbon Monoxide (CO) breath sensor that can plug into the phone or connect via Bluetooth to the app to check daily smoking. When a user opens the app to check smoking levels they will verify identity with existing facial recognition technology (Much like how you open an iPhone) and then the user will blow into the breath sensor twice a day to document smoking status. If the user succeeds in decreasing the amount smoked and subsequently quits smoking, they earn immediate financial rewards every time. To ensure they are in it for the long term, the user will not be allowed to access the money daily, but rather on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. Other features on the app include a behavioral support tab that shows how much money you save by smoking less, tips on ways to beat common smoking habits, a journal section to reflect on what they are doing and prepare them for possible side effects and how to overcome them.
