A great American leader once said, "Lead, follow, or get out of the way". Our current batch of elected officials have failed to lead and refuse to follow our guidance therefore it is our obligation to require them to get out of the way.The American Revolution of 2010 is underway. The current political parties are not ready nor able to take America into the 21st century. They both have failed at protecting the interests of the people and have repeatedly forced one form of bad legislation after another down the throats of the people.I moved to Las Vegas, NV from Farmingville NY in 2005. I took my family and made a decision to make my home a better place.With that move I changed my party affiliation from that of a life long republican to the Independent American Party.In 2006 I entered the State Senate Race and garnered 30 percent of the vote. This was the first indication to me that change was in the air, that the people of Nevada and the Nation would once again look outside of the established political machines for people that can represent them and fulfill their missions in government.In February of 2010 a well respected member of the IAP approached me to run for State Controller. While I am not a CPA, I am well educated and have extensive experience in business. Understanding business and its needs will be of great importance in the coming years as Nevada strives to remove itself from this economic turmoil.Leadership in Carson City is necessary to guide us to success.
