Founded as a non-profit organization in 1985 to offer support, networking and shared knowledge and experience among its Spokane broker members, IB is a group of Real Estate offices and Affiliate members numbering 26 brokerages and over forty affiliates in the Greater Spokane area. The privileges and opportunities available to this entrepreneurial group by not being associated with any national or local franchise allow for superior expertise and service to be offered to the end user… you, the customer. The power realized through an IB association will always contribute the confidence and professionalism experienced when working with an IB member. Many IB members serve in leadership positions on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and with the Spokane Association of Realtors (SAR); a further testament to the strength of The Independent Brokers of Spokane.The knowledge of each member is enhanced through attendance at regular meetings featuring informative speakers, special events, clock hour classes, and seminars.Who Can Join?Membership in the IB is open to all Real Estate brokerages who are not part of a national or regional franchise organization. Recognizing that there are many support businesses in the Real Estate field, Affiliate members can also become a part of Independent Brokers of Spokane. These are individuals or firms who, while not engaged in the purchase or sale of Real Estate, nevertheless provide services to or have interests and information concerning Real Estate.
