India Cultural Association Details
The only Hindu Temple in the Lake County area of Chicago. The temple operates under the mandate to provide the best in religious, spiritual, cultural, educational and social programs for the Indian community. The Temple houses the following key dieties of Radha Krishna, Rama/Sita/Lakshmana, Balaji, Shiva, Durga, Ganesha and the following supporting Deities of Saraswati, Lakshmi, Hanuman, Karthik, Vishnu and Lakshmi, Mahaveer (Jain) and Navagraha. The temple also has several outreachprograms that it facilitates including a Food Drive, Medical Clinics, and other programs that help the community. Currently the temple sits on a 17 acre property in Grayslake with a financial commitment to be debt free in less than 5 years and to engage in an aggressive fund raising campaign to expand on the current facility to include a state of the art auditorium, storage facilities and landscaped ecology.
