India Flying Labs is an open, collaborative knowledge-sharing network between technology companies, academia, local non-profits and communities aiming to apply technologies for social good and help India and other countries in the region take the next leap in advancement of technological applications.India Flying Labs belongs to the network of 24 Flying Labs across the global south super-headed by WeRobotics, a US-based NGO, who have been implementing humanitarian drone missions globally to accelerate the positive impact of local aid, health, development and environmental projects. These labs serve as operational knowledge hubs that transfer robotics solutions and the knowledge to apply these solutions safely, responsibly and inclusively. We aim to create local robotics capacity addressing social challenges. Our goal is to contribute to build up local markets and create new jobs through the use of robotics technology and data products. We bridge the digital divide by enabling inclusive participation in the use of emerging technologies. We create local impact by creating an ecosystem for application of drones for social impact, empowering local talent, catalyzing local businesses, support research projects based on drones and data.
