Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF) is the social enterprise development vehicle of the Development Alternatives (DA) Group.It is registered as Sec. 25 Company (now Sec. 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013) is the social enterprise development vehicle of the Development Alternatives Group. Set up with an aim to boost an ecosystem for green and inclusive entrepreneurship, IMEDF promotes and support enterprise models through:1. Transfer and adaptation of innovative technology based business models2. Provision of credit and finance linkages for entrepreneurs 3. Capacity building for business management through technical skill building for business planning and operations 4. Integration and mainstreaming of product and services into the local and extended market channelsFor this, IMEDF connects entrepreneurs with technology providers, technical experts, investors, and customers to meet and service the critical needs of technology, capacity, capital investment and customers. These services are extended to a wide variety of social enterprise models - individual or community based enterprise, aggregation service, franchised service and decentralised micro-enterprises. IMEDF also works closely with public, private and civil society sector partners to develop systematic and collaborative initiatives for sustainable business development at scale.
