Government Administration - Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Indigenous women lead. They lead in business, government, communities and families. They are entrepreneurs, executives, students, volunteers, advocates and mentors. They solve challenging problems and they break barriers. Sometimes Indigenous women do all of this at once. And, often, they do it alone. There is a pressing need to build a network of support for these women to ensure they thrive and create a smooth pathway for others to follow. In response, an enthusiastic and devoted team has joined forces to bring to fruition the Indigenous Women's Leadership Summit (IWLS). As attendees grow and connect with other leaders in Vancouver this October, they will gather new insights and resources to step forward with confidence. Providing first-hand accounts of their personal and professional journeys, powerful Indigenous women will share what they've learned and support others to work through life's biggest challenges. The IWLS team is a non-profit association of Indigenous women committed to building a strong network of support for like-minded leaders across Canada and beyond. Proceeds of the IWLS will be directed to a CCAB's Fund Indigenous Women in Business.
