Education Management - , Victoria, Australia
Indigicate's aim is to end Indigenous disadvantage through educational camps that change that negative narrative of Indigenous culture and history. To end Indigenous disadvantage we must educate non-Indigenous young people about the beauty, strength and history of Indigenous cultures, whilst simultaneously providing opportunities for young Indigenous people to participate in camps and programs that build cultural connection, hope, resilience and work opportunities. We are the most experienced Indigenous owned camps organisation in Australia with more than 60,000 participants in our programs during the last five years. Indigicate has designed and facilitated camps across Australia, Samoa and Europe. We have the capacity and experience to deliver camps for up to 160 participants in multiple locations across Victoria. Our core business and passion are working with Indigenous youth. Indigicate's owners and management team are well known across the Victorian Aboriginal Community and have designed and facilitated several programs for Indigenous youth, focusing on high risk youth over the last 3 years. Last year was a milestone year for Indigicate, were we organised, fundraised, designed, and facilitated a 16-day trip for four Indigenous young people in care to a child rights conference in Europe.
