It can be used to communicate the intention to "look above the trees".Indlulamithi South Africa Scenarios 2030 is a multi-stakeholder, research-driven initiative that seeks to re-invigorate our search, as a nation, for ways to create a society where all people experience a sense of belonging and solidarity. Where all have opportunities to build a better life. Where all feel they can influence those in positions of power.Indlulamithi will provide tools – in the form of scenarios – to assist us to imagine alternative futures more than a decade from today. These scenarios – or storylines – aim to focus leaders from different sectors and people from all walks of life on a key question:What would a socially cohesive South Africa look like by 2030?Social cohesion is defined as a process of social integration and inclusion in our communities and society at large. A process that promotes mutual solidarity and acceptance among individuals and communities in our country.A cohesive society is one that exists without inequality, exclusion and disparity based on race, gender, class, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, disability, or any other distinction that drives division, distrust and conflict.
