Innocence in Danger is an International non-profit organization, under the presidency of Mrs. Homayra Sellier, which was founded in 1999 under the auspices of the UNESCO following its Conference on "Sexual Abuse of Children, Child Pornography and Pedophilia on the Internet". Innocence in Danger fights against sexual abuse of children and adolescents, and the spread of pedo-criminality via the new media, particularly the Internet. What we do in Switzerland • Reconciliation through annual summer camps • Providing long-term care and accompaniment for children who have been affected by sexual abuse • Cooperation with experts and other organizations • Information, sensitization and prevention The Summer Camps • The "Summer Camp" concept for sexually abused children was developed and launched by Mrs. Sellier in Switzerland in 2003. • The aim of summer camps is to help children strengthening and rebuilding their resilience in order to deal with their experiences and to be able to face day-to-day life. • Over the last 10 years we have welcomed around 160 children in our Summer Camps in Switzerland • Summer Camps are offered by our offices in Germany, Colombia, and the US. However, each chapter focuses on a different therapy (Columbia – EMDR, USA – equestrian therapy, Germany – art, Switzerland – creative workshops and ludic activities).
