IM360 originated in the Silicon Valley with the goal of providing the necessary tools for independent restaurants to compete with national chains. Our founders fell in love with the vast local dining options but quickly noticed good food simply wasn't enough for our favorite restaurants. We wanted to help them out and believed that technology and its limitless capabilities could cure the woes of our neighborhood eateries.Early on, we developed an affordable yet competitive point of sale system that was intuitive to use and integrated with really nifty features…or so we thought. We quickly realized that features translate into complexity and time for our clients, something they didn't have. Having spent months implementing our point of sale system and living the lives of our clients, we learned the realities of the practical and pragmatic merchant. Technology is often the last thing on their minds since they are constantly worrying about staffing, inventory, sales, theft, customer safety, or simply the mail that's been piling up for weeks. We realized that independent restaurants simply lacked the time and resources to deal with our "cool technology."In order to really help our local eateries, we needed to truly understand their problems – not add to them. Fast forward to 2014. We developed and introduced HINTS to enable a newly hired waiter to sell and promote like a seasoned veteran. We coupled that with our BOOST team which provides the marketing and technology help independent restaurants never had. By becoming the marketing, technology and data management extensions for restaurants, we are confident restaurants with great food will not only remain in business, but thrive and compete with the big chains!
