Inspired Health Strategies LLC improves patient health & business outcomes via strategies to improve medication adherence, increase Rx sales. If patients actually fill the existing prescriptions there will be an increase in sales of these medications as well as a decrease cost in health care management for payers. In the life sciences industry there are 3 major issues: 1. The industry pays little attention to if the end-user/patient fills the prescriptions marketing paid for. On average 50% of all the prescriptions written are not filled but paid for by pharma marketing initiatives. The financial impact on the US healthcare system is ~$100 billion annually in to poor health outcomes, increased costs to the system. 2. The industry is focused on its distribution channel (prescriber) rather than the emerging, more influential decision-makers about its products – the end-user/patient and payers. 3. Additional factors impacting the industry – patent cliff, increasing regulatory pressures, changes in healthcare delivery. The industry is facing challenges to the margin. It is time to go after the business it has already bought in those Rxs written but never filled.
