Public Policy - Vaughan, Ontario, Canada
The Institute for Advancing Prosperity mission is to research, inform, and engage established business leaders, entrepreneurs, technology researchers, and policy makers at a local and national level on the impacts, opportunities, and challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Our commitment is to the values of an openness and innovation, respect for the rule of law, and the desire to continuously expand opportunity for all. In order to do so, we seek to research the implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and make concrete recommendations to industry and the public sector on how to best to develop forward-thinking policies. We believe that the best research is formed through active engagement as opposed to abstract analysis. Our policy recommendations arise from practical and experimental experience, engaging relevant actors on the ground, to ensure that everybody is positively affected by any policy change. We have identified five key policy areas: Smart Cities, Education, Crypto Regulation, Intellectual Property, and Labour Policy, that our team is best suited to address, though in the long-term, through talent-focussed development, we aim to increase the number of our policy priorities.
