Whether on the field or in public service, veterans are some of the most dedicated and committed citizens of the United States. In recent years, there has been a drop in the amount of veterans serving in Congress. Veterans Campaign is the first ever non-partisan, non-ideological training program aimed exclusively at equipping veterans to successfully enter public service. The organization encourages veterans to embark on a journey of Second Service. Veterans Campaign seeks to breakdown the campaign process, and encourage more veterans to continue their legacy of public service in elected office. The organization focuses not only on public office, but on public service as a whole: we honor the commitment and dedication of those veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces and are encouraged to see so many of these veterans take an interest in public service. Veterans campaign performs a variety of functions in order to assist veterans in entering public office. It holds biannual Second Service Workshops and monthly Second Service Speaker Series. Participants will learn the skills necessary to campaign for office at all levels of government. Topics covered will include organizing a campaign, issue development, fundraising, public and media relations, getting out the vote, and much more. If you are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and are interested in running for elected office, we hope you will consider attending our semi-annual workshops, monthly speaker series, and periodic regional events.
