Toronto-based ICS (Integrated Cable Systems) designed, installed and maintained private high-speed Internet networks for businesses in Canada using Cisco and Lucent products primarily. ICS generated revenues from fibre sales and installation, structured cabling, and IT support, sales and maintenance services. ICS customers included IBM, Manulife, Hudson's Bay Company, Kraft Foods and Future Shop.Established in 1988, ICS had offices in most major Canadian cities and employed over 250 people. In July of 2000, Cygnal Technologies Corporation announced the acquisition of ICS for $19 million in cash and stocks. At the time ICS annual revenues exceeded $45 million.
