Pharmaceuticals - Aldershot, England, United Kingdom
We develop bespoke services to support care organisations in administering medicines safely and to help patients adhere to prescribed medication. For care organisations we provide a range of tools to protect against the risks inherent in medicines management. We offer training and audit programmes to support compliance with the CQC's Quality Standards, Outcome 9: Management of Medicines. Through our partners, we also provide a wide range of non-clinical services such as health and safety compliance, contingency planning and uninterruptable power supplies (UPS).Low patient adherence to prescription medication has complex and varied causes; but is always associated with poorer outcomes for patients, and higher costs for the NHS. Our philosophy is that our role does not end with dispensing the prescription and therefore our systems are developed to aid medicines administration for patients and caregivers, encouraging adherence. For patient groups with particular needs e.g. language or cultural issues, we provide a Pharmacy Access Service. While translation services for these groups are useful, the causes of non-adherence go far beyond language comprehension. Our service offers support at all stages where adherence can fail. For businesses, we offer a private health programme, including health checks and flu vaccination, which companies can offer to their staff. We provide services either in the workplace - thereby minimising staff and work disruption, or at our premises in Aldershot. We strive to maximise the services that pharmacy can bring to healthcare consumers, prescribers, and commissioners.
