IntensAquatica has developed world's first, most innovative OUTDOOR Shrimp Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS). While most of the RAS technology players in the industry have extended indoor finfish RAS to indoor Shrimp RAS, the frugal innovation by IntensAquatica exploits the tropical climate requirement of Shrimp, and has come out with Outdoor RAS. The technology has been tested across seasons and is delivering a yield of 100 tons/acre/annum (4000 m2 waterbody). Being frugal (and outdoor), the capex per kilo as well cost of production per kilo are extremely competitive.
