Inter-Acting is a virtual program that offers a new and exciting way to support middle and high school students who are struggling in one or more social areas. Developed by a licensed clinical mental health counselor, the program helps participants strengthen their social skills through real-life practice so that they feel more confident in their everyday lives. We do this in a fun and authentic group environment that encourages students to be themselves, and to take charge of their experience. Sessions are led by actor Ryan Kelley from MTV's Teen Wolf, who engages students in cooperative games, spontaneous conversation prompts, and organic role playing designed to build their interpersonal skills intuitively. Ryan is able to get the participants engaged and helps it feel more natural, very different from a therapy group. Our clinical director provides regular, individual feedback throughout, including evidence-based progress reports, and one-on-one meetings with families and/or schools. This online peer group can be helpful for homebound students, students with emotional disabilities, students with ADHD, students who are health impaired, and students in pre-intervention. Our 50-minute sessions are offered in blocks of four, eight, or twelve, for between 8 and 12 students of similar age. In order to maintain a low-risk, low stress environment for our participants, we do not place students from the same school in the same class. We'd love to chat further about a potential partnership, or simply answer any questions you might have.
