We are a group of scientists and animators based at the University of Colorado Boulder. Our mission is to illustrate basic principles of geology in entertaining and accessible ways. We create animations and interactive displays showing the geologic evolution of North America and the world for use in schools, museums, and national parks by the general public.Our Goals- Educate the public about key geologic processes and their impact on society- Integrate 3D visualization techniques into geology education by developing geologically accurate animations and interactive displays.- Provide these resources free of charge to educators and the general publicOur 5-Year Plan (2019-2023)- Videos of the 48 states using extensive computer animation- 3D animations of nature scenes through time- A cellphone app that shows location-specific geologic evolution- VR and AR experiences for select field sites
