Research - Aarhus, Central Denmark Region, Denmark
The core activity at ICOA is to do research on how to analyze, design and redesign private and public organizations to secure their ability to excel now and in the future. Hence, we do research on how to design a robust integration and alignment of people, processes and functional areas for optimal organizational innovation and performance. Our research approach is interdisciplinary and integrative and conducted in close collaboration with organizations. ICOA is an interdisciplinary center in partnership with individuals, research groups at Aarhus University, the Danish cross-ministerial innovation unit MINDLab, plus a broad range of international universities and scholars. The center serves to support the implementation of the Aarhus University ideas of inter- and cross-disciplinary research in close cooperation with businesses and society at large. ICOA is committed to maintain a sharp disciplinary focus, while at the same time assuring ICOA's distinct interdisciplinary profile through integration across function and functionality of the various disciplines relevant for informing integrated organizational architecture research. This profile will establish ICOA as a distinct center for integrated organizational architecture, a center that is internationally recognized amongst scholars as well as amongst practitioners.
