The International Business Technology Program is one of the two regional programs offered at Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School. The International, Business and Technology (IBT) Program is an innovative program which enriches and extends the secondary school curriculum to prepare students for the challenges of an increasingly complex world. In grades nine and ten, IBT students receive a solid foundation in international studies, business and technology courses. During their senior years, students may choose courses that lead to specialization in one of the three areas or continue to develop a broad perspective by continuing to study a variety of subjects. With the co-operation of the community and business partners, students are engaged in educational experiences which provide them with a competitive edge in a global market. Our business partners play an important role in the development and maintenance of the IBT Program by enhancing students' learning and preparing them for future employment. In return, corporate partners benefit as our students graduate with 21st century employability skills. Students in the Gordon Graydon boundary may apply in grade 9 to the IBT program. Approximately 140 students will be admitted into the Grade 9 IBT Program in September 2016. Applications are submitted on-line. The IBT program is recognized by members of our business community, colleges and universities as an excellent foundation for continued studies in programs such as computer science, business, graphic arts, engineering, economics, law and political science, as well as general arts and sciences.
