The International Canoe Federation (ICF) is the umbrella organization of all national canoe organizations worldwide. It is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and administers all aspects of canoe sport worldwide. It currently has 150 affiliated National Federation and is the sole organisation responsible for canoe-kayak / paddling sports by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The ICF's mission is to promote all types of canoeing, kayaking and paddling activities from beginnners to elite level athletes. Canoeing is fun, healthy, environmentally stimulating and a great way to teach people about the waterways and how to navigate them.
