The International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet (ICDRI) was founded by individuals with disabilities in 1998 with a focus on cross-disability and became incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 entity for tax purposes in 2001. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina USA, ICDRI is recognized internationally for providing a free on-line knowledge base of quality disability resources and best practices. This knowledge base is used to provide education, outreach and training for making the built environment, information communications technology (ICT) and the web accessible to everyone. ICDRI also provides Accessibility Oversight Consulting Professional Services to further our mission on global ICT and built environment accessibility. ICDRI advises industry, academia, United Nations organizations and governments worldwide on accessible ICT and participates in industry standards setting and the drafting of legislation and international treaties.. ICDRI continues to provide Section 508 consulting services as well as Expert Witness professional services for accessible ICT litigation both in the U.S. and abroad.
