Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common form of childhood disability. It refers to a group of permanent movement and posture disorders caused by a non-progressive injury to the immature brain. People with CP may also have difficulties of cognition, communication, feeding, vision or hearing, as well as secondary musculoskeletal problems. The International Cerebral Palsy Society (ICPS) is a non-profit association founded in 1969 with members in 42 countries on all five continents. It is composed of associations for people with CP, their families and the professionals who work with them.
