International Development Week (IDW) Canada's largest student-run conference on international development.IDW is an annual bilingual initiative that unites students, faculty members, development practitioners, and members of the public to share knowledge and encourage critical thinking pertaining to international development. By engaging in panels, workshops and academic events, delegates have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge of current global issues and trends, as well as learn about innovative and sustainable development approaches through experiential learning from collaborations between academics, professionals, and members of civil society.IDW encourages Canadians to learn about the significance of global challenges, and their impact on local and international ways of living. For this reason, we believe that the conference is relevant to all and aim to create an accessible experience for students from all faculties and academic institutions.We strive to create an empowering learning environment in order to cultivate critical discussions that motivate the development of meaningful connections and active social change.
