The International Fire Door Inspector Association (IFDIA) is an association dedicated to information exchange between vetted fire door inspectors, local AHJ and code officials and building/property owners. The website, with a powerful internet based fire door inspection report capability, is free to all members. Our goal is to ensure the rapid adoption of the annual requirement for fire door inspections, as outlined in NFPA 80, 2007 Edition, 5.2.4 with as little cost and confusion as possible. We welcome all inspectors who have passed a recognized or accredited curriculum.Membership is completely free, including fire door inspector look up by city, state or zip code. Additionally, report writing, viewing and approval are also all free services.Free membership is available to:Building owner/property owners and managersCode enforcement officials (who can view and approve reports)Vetted Fire Door InspectorsThe IFDIA online curriculum is accredited by the International Accreditation Services whose parent company, the International Code Council authors the International Building Code. IFDIA has the only curriculum accredited by a recognized accreditation authority. We have a free online pre-qualification quiz that is used to determine whether or not a person desirous of becoming a vetted fire door inspector has the knowledge base required to enroll in the Advanced Swinging Type Fire Door Inspection course.
