The International Justice Network is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that provides legal assistance to survivors of human rights abuses and their families, advocates for universal human rights, and promotes the rule of law through a network of legal experts, non-governmental organizations, and local activists from across the globe. Founded in 2006 by a coalition of attorneys seeking justice for individuals detained without charge at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, at Bagram, Afghanistan, and other U.S. prisons abroad, IJN now leads human rights initiatives around the world. Working with local organizations, IJN has completed projects that protect human rights and promote the rule of law in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Namibia, Pakistan, the Philippines, the United States, and Yemen.
