The International Salsa Museum (ISM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation seeking to raise funds in the form of contributions/grants for the acquisition and development of a state of the art museum to be located in the Bronx, NY – "El Condado De La Salsa."Through the museum we will educate the public on the music of Tito Puente, Fania All-Stars, El Gran Combo, Celia Cruz and all those great artists and musicians that played a major role in the expansion of salsa music all over the globe. Aside from Salsa historical context and its international impact, we aim to have various programs within the museum that will cater to the needs of the local, national and global communities. We believe that music and arts education is crucial to the mental, physiological and overall development of a human being. Through the museum people from all over the world will be able to learn about Salsa's rich history and also have access to programs taught by professionals in the music industry. From musicians, singers, record executives, dancers and music producers, we are all in this together.This will truly be a museum like no other and we cannot wait to share the great plans we have in store.
