ISHA is a non-profit whose mission is to preserve and advance the knowledge of ski history and to increase the public's awareness of ski heritage. Our Skiing History Magazine is an engaging, full color publication that has fun articles about skiing's past: equipment, places, personalities and the like. In addition the website hosts a digital archive collection of hours of entertainment. You can find profiles of people from the world of skiing from racing to business leaders to resort founders and more. There's a library of videos, directory of ski museums around the globe, a history of Nordic skiing and jumpic and Olympic lore and facts. Enjoy a collection of vintage ski art and posters and extensive World Cup racing results. ISHA partners with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame, Canadian Ski Museum and Hall of Fame, Alf Engen Museum, and supports all museums of snowsports history. Our ski season caps off annually with Skiing History Week, the world's biggest reunion of skiing enthusiasts of all types to honor the ski authors, filmmakers and broadcasters; as well as the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame's current inductees. The week is hosted in a different premier resort each year with discounted pricing and days of events.
