Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Company began doing business in 1986 in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. The Company had operations throughout Northern Idaho and expanded its roots into Newport and Elk, Washington in the early 1990's. In September of 1997, Interstate Concrete and Asphalt joined CRH in North America. Between 2016 and 2019, the Company acquired Spokane Rock Products, Knife River, and Colville Valley Concrete and is now one of the largest suppliers of asphalt, aggregates, ready mixed concrete, and paving and construction services throughout Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. Interstate Concrete and Asphalt has operations in Rathdrum, Post Falls, Sandpoint, Dover, Airway Heights, Elk, and Colville, and has been recognized as being among the top 10 employers in Kootenai County.
