We are the Inuvik Justice Committee! We are a group of 3 individuals who aim to assist those involved in the court system or who may just be going through a hard time. We run preventative programs designed at raising awareness about issues in our communities and promote wellness and healing. Our little office consists of two Victim Services workers and a Justice Coordinator!If you need help, please feel free to contact us! We don't mind helping you find the answers you need, even if it is not in our area of expertise.You can reach your Inuvik Victim Services worker at (867) 777-5493 and you can reach the Victim Services Worker for each of the Beaufort Delta communities at (867)777-5480.How can Victim Services help you?• We help by providing support and a listening ear to victims of crime and those suffering from trauma in their life• Make referrals to agencies in your communities, such as community counselling, treatment programs, and Residential School Support programs• Give you information about court and keep you up to date on court dates and appearances• Advocate for you and your rights as a victim• Help you to fill out relevant government and court paperwork, such as application forms, victim impact statements, and emergency protection ordersOur Justice Coordinator (867-777-3181) can help you by:• Running diversions/restorative justice• Linking you to community service hours within Inuvik
