IOSS GmbH has been developing and producing intelligent reading and evaluation systems for directly marked data matrix coding for over 20 years. The systems are used successfully worldwide in the automotive sector, in the semiconductor industry, in automation and in medical technology. The product range includes stationary code readers, wafer ID systems, OCR readers, handheld scanners and various products for code quality assessment. The systems read Data Matrix codes, QR codes, barcodes and OCR. IOSS GmbH specializes in reading DPM codes, which are codes that are applied directly to components. The systems offer a significant advantage, especially when reading dot peen codes. With the readers from IOSS, the products are identified clearly and securely, even under the most demanding conditions, such as curved, reflective or painted surfaces. In addition to the normal reading of codes, the systems also evaluate the quality of the codes reliably and reproducibly. The systems are calibrated and verified according to standard ISO/IEC 29158. For dot peen marked DPM codes, IOSS GmbH has created its own validation standard, "Rated Reading" with special criteria that enable reliable and reproducible monitoring of the marking quality.
