Part of Northeastern's newly inaugurated Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things, The IoT Open Innovation Lab researches within the areas of innovation, experimentation, and development of IoT applications working alongside Northeastern community members and solving problems for affiliated companies. The lab follows in a tradition of this research team working with various private industry and government organizations to enable large-scale innovation platforms to be stood up in the field--with the research lab leading growth and optimization with a series of field experiments. The IoT Open Innovation Lab is a special initiative of The Research Program on Digital Innovation, Economics, and Strategy (RPDIES), which uses quantitative analysis of large data sets and field experiments to study the economics, design, and management of digital businesses, innovation systems, and platforms. The Lab is also part of the College of Engineering's IoT Research Cluster. (https://www.northeastern.edu/wiot/)
