IOWA AGRICULTURE WATER ALLIANCE is a nonprofit organization increasing the pace and scale of broad based, diverse water quality efforts in Iowa. IAWA and our IAWA Business Council are nationally recognized, award winning (2019 National Association of State Departments of Agriculture Public Private Partnerships Award and 2021 Field to Market Spotlight Award) organizations known for creating public private partnerships to increase the adoption of conservation practices that improve water quality, soil health and other sustainability outcomes. The IAWA Business Council has 20 companies partnering with IAWA on public-private water quality projects. The IAWA Advisory Council is comprised of two dozen leading agricultural, environmental, conservation organizations; leaders of local, state, and federal agencies; urban utilities and representatives, and academic institutions aligned to improve water quality. Our award winning Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) projects which we co-lead with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship have aligned over $133M in investments, including $32 Million in USDA funding. We are focused on implementing the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy, leveraging market based solutions and harnessing economic drivers to improve water quality while increasing capacity for technical and financial assistance. Our Midwest Agriculture Water Quality Partnership has already improved conservation on 4 million acres of farmland. The project was just renewed in 2021 by USDA for an additional five years.IAWA has several other grants and projects to align partners to help farmers and landowners adopt water quality practices.IAWA is based out of 1255 SW PRAIRIE TRAIL PKY, Ankeny, Iowa, United States.
