Our fundraising events allow members to share their passion for European culture, cuisine, music and traditions with the Greater Des Moines community. We rely heavily on our members to identify needs they have in their lives and in their communities to drive our programming.Brief description of key programs/activities:Christkindlmarket Des Moines - Regional vendors offer old-world, handcrafted wares and ethnic foods in traditional wooden stalls. Performers provide culturally significant, family-friendly entertainment (polka bands, choirs, bell ringers, dancers) in a heated tent. In the KinderKorner area, children learn to count in another language, create a button tree ornament and listen to a story-teller.
