IpAuctions, Inc.™ was founded by Joseph V. Popolo in 2001 to pursue opportunities in online auctioning of new generation patent technology. Over the following 13 years, Popolo built a well known international corporation, marketing and selling patents, trademarks, copyrighted material and other intellectual property on a worldwide basis. In addition, the online auctioning of IP from bankrupt organizations expanded to 8 out of the 12 Bankruptcy Circuits in the US.IP Auctions, Inc. recognized the growth of IP and is diversifying to add IP development and IP litigation services.IP Brokerage Division: This division will maintain the company's core focus on IP sales opportunities. Sales cycles for submitted IP is typically two to three months with the active listing for sales being about half that time. Prices for these online IP sales are in the $50,000 - $100,000 range.IP Development Division: With the company's early view of IP coming up for sale, this new activity will include value assessment and development potential. Partnered with select investment firms for seed funding, the company will acquire IP pre-auction and then develop business plans and develop teams to develop new enterprises up to Series A funding or sale. Typical seed funding is expected to be in the $150,000 to $250,000 range. Business development consulting services will also be managed through this division.IP Litigation Division: Some IP submitted for auction has been illegally infringed. This division's activity will include working with select IP attorneys and law firms to acquire the IP for the purpose of developing licensing revenue from infringers and/or litigating for infringement and damages.
