Ipso microelectronics designs and manufactures hardware based, irrefutable and user-centric digital identity solutions. Additionally, we design specialist, performance electronics based on FPGA and ASIC.\\Digital identity is not an issue, as soon as one recognizes it isn't something that is endowed by another, but is an existential fact. Digital identity belongs to the individual in the same way. What matters from the perspective of others are the characteristics that are claimed by any digital identity. To use those characteristics (e.g. nationality) the holder of an identity needs to have them validated by a duly authorized/trusted third party, such as a particular government agency.\\The technical challenge lies in the security of 1) the digital identity, and 2) authentication of the digital identity. The answer seems to have been elusive considering the astronomical rate of identity theft.\\We recognize that great strides have been made in securing digital identities through the use of public/private key technology, and the use of secure private key storage tech such as FIDO devices. However, while authentication is performed at a distance by a service provider, it leaves opportunities for criminals to intercept and manipulate that authentication process. Complexity seems to be the standard answer - security by obscurity.\\At Ipso Micro we have developed a solution that offers both secure private key storage, and secure authentication in an 'air-gapped', personal, digital identity management device.
