IRIS is a startup founded in 2012 as high technology company designed to grow fast in the sector of research on photonics and new technologies for environment. IRIS employs 4 specialists with experience on photonics, manufacturing, IPR protection, business development and management of research programs. Since November 2012 IRIS joins Piemonte Region's MESAP, the Regional Innovation Pole on Mechatronics and Advanced Production Systems where gets commitment to support the development of GREENPLASMA project, promising initiative to develop a new green process based on plasma technology to reduce environmental impact of industrial wastes. IRIS is also cooperating with local companies in R&D activities to enlarge the application of laser processing in industrial environment. IRIS cooperates with dynamic companies to develop new business from the selection of new ideas, promoting research activities, stimulating innovation and bringing with success new product and process to the market. IRIS takes care to create critical mass in terms of technical resources, managerial competences, funding in order to develop a new idea: skilled specialists, network with European research framework, internal research projects, IPR protection, participation to cooperative programs funded at regional, national or continental level. IRIS makes available its own expertise and network in two high potential sectors: photonics and new technologies for environment.
