Nonprofit Organization Management - Cork, Cork, Ireland
At the Irish Bee Conservation Project we protect the native Irish bee species in four distinct ways:1. We Run study and breeding programmes to combat the Varroa mite, which is he biggest threat to Irish honeybees.2. We provide bee lodges for wild bees to shelter in. These lodges and hives also help in rewilding bees.3. Using education and networking we help to increase floral rich areas which are desirable to our native bees.4. We work with primary and secondary teachers on curriculum based projects to highlight the problems that Irish pollinators face.
