In 2017 the iRobotX Project was formed to develop the first-generation of Personal Humanoid Robots (PHR) for homes & businesses. The mission was to design and develop a safe, capable and affordable PHR for the average consumer. PHRs can navigate on two legs and are capable of walking up and down the stairs. They can manipulate objects with two human shaped hands sensing pressure and touch. Using stereo cameras the environment is reconstructed in 3D and using semantics we identify objects in the scene to predict real-time actions.iXOS is a Real-Time Operating System designed for humanoid robotics. Its architecture includes a Decision Making Process with Skills and Task Management (STM) generating real-time motion planning for humanoid navigation and manipulation.
