irvineSTEMsesh is a collaborative project run by Northwood High School's Biology Olympiad Club along with partners from various clubs across SoCal. STEMsesh was originally a district-wide event scheduled to occur in late April or early May. The planning and recruitment phase of the event, however, was cut short due to the effects of COVID-19. We knew we couldn't just give up on our mission, so we transformed the STEMsesh event into an online platform that would be used by young learners to virtually explore hands-on ways to explore STEM fields right from their homes. After launching Wave 1 on Earth Day, April 22, we've continued to grow. Wave 2 brought us thousands of users from 6 out of the 7 continents and 25 states, and we continue to grow everyday.
