Irving Healthcare Foundation (IHF) was founded as a public charity in 1977 to raise funds for nonprofit healthcare in Irving. More than $48 million has been raised to date for our beneficiaries that include: * Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Irving, the city's only charitable hospital* Baylor Scott & White - Irving Community Clinic, a low-cost medical home for the uninsured* Canine Companions for Independence® at Baylor Scott & White Health - Kinkeade Campus, which provides assistance and companion dogs free of charge to clients with physical and psychosocial needs* Childhood Obesity Task Force - a program that shows families in Irving how small dietary and activity changes make big differences in overall health.In addition to raising funds from individuals, corporations and foundations to meet vitally important programmatic, education and equipment needs the four beneficiaries named above, the IHF hosts or is a beneficiary of several annual fundraising events.
