Isfahan Cardiovascular Research Institute is a WHO collaborating center for research and training in cardiovascular disease (CVD) control, prevention, and rehabilitation for cardiac patients in the Eastern Mediterranean region (EMR). ICRI initiated its activities in 1987 with aiming to perform research on CVD prevention and public health promotion. The central goal of ICRI is to utilize the existing technology to performing community-oriented biomedical research, producing applicable results, and contributing to furthering human knowledge in the realm of medical science.
