The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 7,500 Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors.In the era of industrial growth in the country, Pune had emerged as an important growth centre for Air-conditioning and Refrigeration industry. The Pune Chapter was established on 2nd April 1993 with the support of senior members like Mr. Arvind Surange, Mr. R P Paranjpey, Mr. Uttam Kashid, Mr. Bhagwan Harani and others. Initially the chapter started with just 20 members. Mr. Bhagwan Harani who was actively associated in formation of chapter took over as the first secretary of the chapter. Come to 2018, ISHRAE Pune Chapter is one of the leading ISHRAE Chapters in India. With over 450+ members and 15 student branches, the family of ISHRAE Pune Chapter is ever-growing and dynamic. Many of the flagship events like Chiller Conclave and ACR Trendz are attended by hundreds of industry experts and working professionals. ISHRAE Pune Chapter organizes various events throughout the year for its members and student branches. The continuous engagement in the chapter activities and events enables the members to benefit tremendously by receiving the best knowledge and happenings in the industry, along with an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. This year, our President Mr. Suraj Ranade with his strong team of Core Working Committee (CWC) members is committed to raise the bar and take this chapter to further new heights.
