We opened our doors as Island Escapes in 2003, with the ambition to provide clients with THE best Fijian holiday experience possible. Starting out as just three (Marilyn, Margie and Angie), we'd worked together before and shared not only passion but a wealth of understanding and knowledge of this amazing destination – Margie in particular having lived there for most of her life. We never strived to be the biggest travel company in Australia, but we were committed to being the best. By staying small, we believed we could focus on quality, rather than quantity. By doing so, we've been able to specialise in what is now a handful of beautiful destinations that keep us truly inspired.Ten years later and our little team of three is now 14 strong. Our destinations have grown to not only Fiji, but Vanuatu, Samoa and Thailand. We stand by our desire to look after our clients with a level of service and product knowledge that is fast disappearing in this era of ‘quick' information. A computer can introduce you to 100's of fabulous resorts that claim to tick your holiday boxes. But will they? When you get to the hotel will your ‘luxury room' be luxurious by your standards? Will the ‘amazing' cuisine be really amazing, or just ok…some of the time?We firmly believe that you can learn more from a ten minute conversation with someone who has actually been to a resort – slept in its linen, dined on its cuisine and can vouch for its quality – than in 2 hours of trawling the heavily saturated internet trying to extract the truth from the white noise. It's an old fashioned concept, but according to the 6000 + clients that we send on holidays each year, it is one that is tried, tested and successful.
