The ISSN, the international identifier for serials and other continuing resources, in the electronic and print worlds.The ISSN Network is made up of 92 ISSN National Centres whose work is coordinated by the ISSN International Centre situated in Paris. The ISSN International Centre is an intergovernmental organization, created in 1975 by an agreement between UNESCO and the French Government.At this date, 2.5 million ISSN numbers are recorded in the ISSN Register, which is the authoritative source of information and the reference tool for serials management. 65 000 new ISSN records are created annually.
