Istrouma High School is located in the heart of North Baton Rouge. The school has over 100 years of history, and it underwent a grand renaissance as it reopened in 2017. Istrouma is home to Billy Cannon, LSU's Heisman Trophy winner in 1959. The school offers a variety of college preparatory classes and magnet programs, including Media Arts, Aquaponics, Theater, JROTC, Process Technology, Carpentry, and Advanced Placement courses.
