AQUA ITALIA is the Italian Association of Water Treatment Equipment and Product Manufacturers established within ANIMA in 1978. AQUA ITALIA members manufacture plants, equipment and components for water treatment (desalination, filtering, softeners, reverse osmosis) in residential, commercial, HO.RE.CA. sectors, for works of public utility (aqueducts), but also for treatment of industrial waters (pharmaceutical and semi-conductors) of technological use (steam generators, refreshment and humidification) and membrane separation devices for dialysis. The range of techniques and products represented by AQUA ITALIA is rather wide: filters, UV disinfection devices, physical devices, systems for monitoring, regulation and remote control, water coolers and remote control, water coolers and sparkling water devices, water filter jugs, chemical products for the improvement of drinking water. AQUA ITALIA supports its members in the constant technical-standard update and more generally in giving additional information on the market, through learning, training and circulation of technical manuals drafted by its own experts attending both national and international working tables (Aqua Europa, CEN, ISO, UNI).AQUA ITALIA provides with overall information about water treatment and its uses, spreads information about chemical-physical and microbiological parameters in the water and promotes water quality. As a matter of fact, Aqua Italia aims at reducing energy wastage, eliminating harmful polluters to man and the environment and saving water, universally recognised as the most important resource in the world.AQUA ITALIA is very busy at institutions and authorities as for legislative rules and participates – through AQUA EUROPA – of which is founder member, in the proofreading of directive 98/84 on drinking water.
