ITHAKA is an independent, privately owned non-profit public company with strong academic and university background. We provide research and consulting services to commercial, government and agency clients in the issues of the Information Society. Our staff includes young professionals coming from different fields of social sciences.In our daily work we employ a wide range of research methods, from classic academic approaches to the most innovative online techniques. Our wide network of partners enables us to carry out all kinds of academic projects and market and opinion researches as well. We work in close relationship with universities, especially with the Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences where several members of our staff are teaching and participating in the University's projects.ITHAKA is the Hungarian partner in the World Internet Project which is a major, international, collaborative project looking at the social, political and economic impact of the Internet and other new technologies.
